God is so great and always there for us, yet we only really get on our knees and worship him when its beneficial to us. Why do we pray at meals out of habit? We should jump at the chance to pray to God. I want to encourage everyone who reads this to make a note to pray to God when ever you can. Pray for our President, our Military. Your Bros, your family. Take special note where she thinks that Sotomayor seems to believe that the Second Amendment is limited only to the residents of federal enclaves such as Washington, D.C. and does not protect all Americans living in every corner of this nation. Ya, that's what we need! give all the power to the Government, their sure to protect us. No thank you! I'll take the responciblity of protecting me and my family. Support the NRA!

Other than declaring war, neither house of Congress has a more solemn responsibility than the Senate's role in confirming justices to the U.S. Supreme Court. As the Senate considers the nomination of Judge Sonia Sotomayor, Americans have been watching to see whether this nominee - if confirmed - would respect the Second Amendment or side with those who have declared war on the rights of America's 80 million gun owners.

From the outset, the National Rifle Association has respected the confirmation process and hoped for mainstream answers to bedrock questions. Unfortunately, Judge Sotomayor's judicial record and testimony clearly demonstrate a hostile view of the Second Amendment and the fundamental right of self-defense guaranteed under the U.S. C

onstitution.

It is only by ignoring history that any judge can say that the Second Amendment is not a fundamental right and does not apply to the states. The one part of the Bill of Rights that Congress clearly intended to apply to all Americans in passing the Fourteenth Amendment was the Second Amendment. History and congressional debate are clear on this point.

Yet Judge Sotomayor seems to believe that the Second Amendment is limited only to the residents of federal enclaves such as Washington, D.C. and does not protect all Americans living in every corner of this nation. In her Maloney opinion and during the confirmation hearings, she deliberately misread Supreme Court precedent to support her incorrect view.

In last year's historic Heller decision, the Supreme Court ruled that the Second Amendment guarantees the individual's right to own firearms and recognizes the inherent right of self-defense. In addition, the Court required lower courts to apply the Twentieth Century cases it has used to incorporate a majority of the Bill of Rights to the States. Yet in her Maloney opinion, Judge Sotomayor dismissed that requirement, mistakenly relying instead on Nineteenth Century jurisprudence to hold that the Second Amendment does not apply to the States.

This nation was founded on a set of fundamental freedoms. Our Constitution does not

give us those freedoms - it guarantees and protects them. The right to defend ourselves and our loved ones is one of those. The individual right to keep and bear arms is another. These truths are what define us as Americans. Yet, Judge Sotomayor takes an opposite view, contrary to the views of our Founding Fathers, the Supreme Court, and the vast majority of the American people.

We believe any individual who does not agree that the Second Amendment guarantees a fundamental right and who does not respect our God-given right of self-defense should not serve on any court, much less the highest court in the land. Therefore, the National Rifle Association of America opposes the confirmation of Judge Sonia Sot

omayor to the position of Associate Justice of the United States Supreme Court.

- NRA -

OK, yes I know it has been FOREVER since I have written to all you. For that I am sorry. So many things have happened since the last posting. Brad and I opened a recording studio, Brad and I tore down our recording studio, and lets not even bring up the girls situation since then. My boss left my store to work at another store and in less than a week he will be coming back to work as an equal. I broke/ helped break two records at my store for most apprehensions in a single month (93) and most apprehensions by a single APA (36). Lets not forget Daniel, as most of you may know, he got a checking account! I can even do one better than that. Daniel, got a check card, and on top of all that, it's with VyStar. Tears of joy were brought to my eyes (but not out of it, that would be a violation of Bro Code article #41....A Bro Does not Cry) upon hear the news.

Congrats Daniel.........

Home Sweet Home

Well, its over. Goodbye snow, goodbye mountains, goodbye 17 degree weather. Daniel, Brad and I are home from the annual ski trip and life is back to normal. The count down has begun for next year and I can not wait. There are just so many things that I want to talk about. So many stories, but I will get there in time. First off, let me start by talking about this guy in the silver car! I don't know what his problem was but for some reason he did not like me. I know what your thing, how could anyone not like me? This all took place when Brad, Daniel, and I were driving to Snowshoe to go skiing from my grandparents house. I was driving approx. 5 miles over the speed limit of 65 when out of no where this guy come flying up on my tail. He is within five feet from my car going 70 MPH. Needless to say this made me mad, however, me being the guy that I am pull over to the right lane to let this guy just pass on by. Well, he was not happy with that. Maybe he knew a guy from Florida once and didn't like him and he saw my license plate and decided to get revenge or something, IDK. So this guy floors his gas pedal and flys by me and then gets in front of me and slams on his breaks and goes UNDER THE SPEED LIMIT! What the crap did I do to this guy? Shortly after we turn off and he speeds on to annoy others with his rudeness.

This next story is one that is sad to tell. A tale of a Bro stabbing his Bros in the back while they have done nothing but teach their Bro how to ski. This was Daniels first time skiing. No big deal Brad and I have done it many times before and I would like to say we are quite good at it. We get on the slopes early, we run over the basic instructions on how to go, stop, slow down, and other things that we felt he needed to know. The first thing we teach him is how to snow plow. Its a simple method of toes together and heals out, and put you weight into the front to slow down and stop. The entire day Brad and I would coach Daniel on things that we thought he needed to do and I thought we were doing a good job at it. Well at one point in the afternoon it started to storm and they closed down the lifts and got everyone off the slopes. We were working with Daniel and helping him get down the slope (he still has not fully picked up the stopping thing) when an employee comes down and instructs us that we have to get moving off the mountain. Just looking at Daniel he can tell that it was his first time. The man gave him a 50% on a ski lesson (which was already over $100) and asked if we were teaching him. Daniel replies yes and then the guy asks if we have taught him how to snow plow. Daniel, knowing good and well that that's what we have been teaching him all day tells the guy no. The guy then proceeds to show Daniel how to do it and WORD FOR WORD tells Daniel the same thing that I have been telling him all day! He slowly began to pick up on it, but not before he gave Brad and I a great story to tell about our commitment to our Bros.

Brad and I are waiting at the bottom of a slope waiting for Daniel (which we had to do alot) and after about 10 min we see him come around a turn and start to head toward us. At this point Daniel has picked up a lot of speed and was quickly running out of room to stop. Brad and I watch as Daniel realizes that he can not stop so he falls expecting that to stop him, he was wrong. As we were watching, Daniel falls on the ground about 30 feet in front of us and starts to slide. Not only does Daniel slide the 30 feet to us, but another 10 feet past us.......over the side of the mountain. Immediately tearing our skis off, Brad and I rush toward the side of the mountain in an effort to save our Bro which has fallen completely out of sight. Before we could even get a look at how far down it was, Brad and I were both on our knees sliding down the edge in our grand rescue attempt. Once we reached the bottom of the 10-12 foot Cliff we found Daniel laying there by the tree line holding his thumbs up in n effort to communicate that he was OK. Of course he was OK, but the point of this story is that Brad and I are, in every since of the word, Awesome.

AND WE'RE OFF!

Ladies and gentlemen! I even used to not like Angels and Airwaves but then upon giving them a chance I grew to like them and I believe it has made Tom DeLong more mature which I am excited to see how he brings that to blink.

BTW: we are now in Georgia!

Hello blogging world!

Hello all, I am trying out this "blogging" thing after multiple comments of how I need to write a blog and keep everyone updated on my exciting work stories.
